About Altra Running Shoes

Altra was founded in 2009 by runners who believed traditional running shoes were squeezing the foot's natural shape. Every Altra is built around two ideas: zero drop (heel and toe at the same height, encouraging a more natural stride) and a FootShape toe box wide enough for toes to actually splay.
